This course will give you an understanding of unit testing: the practice of designing, creating and executing tests for your code in both R and Python. Unit testing is crucial in guaranteeing the quality of your code and helps to increase efficiency in development. Unit tests are an important component in reproducible code and can be used by analysts, data scientists and software developers.

Learning outcomes

The course consists of a mix of software development theory and good practice along with specific test implementation in both R and Python. There are tasks throughout the course and longer final exercises designed to give the participant experience applying unit testing to problems.
