This course covers what is needed to effectively manage career progression. It explores:
- career challenges
- how you can overcome career challenges
- what support is needed, and available, to help you move to the next stage of your career
Who this course is for
This course is open to all people working in the Government Statistical Service (GSS). This includes everyone who works with government statistics.
But the course is mandatory for members of the Government Statistician Group (GSG). These are members of the GSS who are also members of the government statistical profession. If you are a member of the GSG, you should be invited to attend this course after you have been in the GSG for 18 months.
Learning outcomes
On this course you will learn:
- the skills to help you develop your professional network in the statistics profession
- what support is needed and available to support your career progress
