Powys Teaching Health Board

We are seeking an Advanced Information Analyst to help make sure the decisions that the Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) make about service recovery and renewal in response to the pandemic are informed by data.

If you’ve got a strong analytical background and are looking to expand your knowledge of health datasets to improve patient and population level outcomes, then we want to hear from you. This post will enable you to develop your existing skills, whilst supporting the health board’s recovery and renewal work.

As the post holder, you will help to deliver the health board’s Renewal portfolio as a key member of the new Transformation and Value Team. The health board is committed to improving outcomes through the best use of its resources on behalf of the people of Powys.

You will play a leading role in developing the analytical and intelligence capability of the portfolio, helping to embed an organisational culture of value-based healthcare. You will work closely with clinicians, Executive leads and other members of the Transformation and Value Team.

You will lead the development, production and promotion of a wide range of complex statistical, epidemiological and analytical information to inform decision making in the Renewal Strategic Portfolio Board. The PTHB Executive Team is determined to play a lead role in developing a systems approach to value creation in NHS Wales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
