Nominations now open for the seventh Analysis in Government (AiG) Awards

Nominations are now open for the seventh annual Analysis in Government (AiG) Awards!

The AiG Awards recognise and celebrate the inspirational individuals, outstanding teams and excellent analytical work making a difference across government.

Since 2020, the awards have helped showcase best practice across the government analysis community, sharing innovation, learning and leadership across the Analysis Function and beyond.

This year, nominations are open across six categories:

  • Analysis for Everyone
  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Impact
  • Innovative Methods
  • Rising Star

Each category is designed to recognise a different aspect of excellent analysis, from effective partnership working and clear communication to inclusive practice, innovation and measurable impact.

You can nominate yourself, a colleague or a team in more than one category, if relevant. Nominations should relate to work completed within the last 12 months and should clearly explain the situation, the action taken and the impact of the work.

Nominations should be submitted using the AiG Awards nomination form by 23:55 on Friday 16 October 2026.

To support nominators, the AiG Awards Hub includes information about the award categories, nomination guidance and examples of previous winning nominations. New AI prompts are also available to help colleagues draft a nomination from scratch or repurpose content they may already have written for another awards scheme or for reward and recognition. The hub is designed to help colleagues prepare strong, evidence-led nominations that show why the work deserves recognition.

As a special thank you, all nominators who submit an eligible nomination by the deadline on Friday 16 October 2026 will be entered into a prize draw to win a signed copy of Sir David Spiegelhalter’s book The Art of Uncertainty.
