Data Science and Data Visualisation Accelerator programmes for 2024
We are pleased to announce dates for the Spring 2024 cohort of the Accelerator mentoring programme. There are two categories of programme available:
- Data Science Accelerator
- Data Visualisation Accelerator
Applications for both will open on Tuesday 2 January with a deadline of Thursday 1 February. The programme itself will run for a period of 12 consecutive weeks starting from Thursday 2 May 2024.
The Accelerator is an entry-level mentoring programme for those in analytical roles. It is not suitable for those with existing data science skills. All current UK government and public sector staff who meet the criteria are eligible to apply.
The programme is run by the Office for National Statistics Data Science Campus and is supported by experienced mentors from across the public sector. Successful applicants will work on a data science or data visualisation project of their own choosing over a 12 week period. They will have the opportunity to learn and work with different techniques under the guidance of a dedicated mentor.
