In this session, colleagues from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) share how the Electricity Strategy Analysis Team delivered analysis that shaped the department’s power sector Spending Review settlement. Through rigorous scenario modelling and cost‑risk analysis, the team explored critical trade‑offs between affordability, security of supply, decarbonisation and system operability.
