This session by Professor Lisa Russell and Dr Katherine Davey (Manchester Metropolitan University) will explore how young people identified as ‘at risk’ of becoming not in education, employment, or training (NEET) experience secondary school in England. Drawing on findings from the Leverhulme Trust funded MINE research, this session amplifies the voices of young people who are struggling to cope at school and offers important insight into their decision-making processes and post-16 transition trajectories.
