Course details:

This is an introductory session aimed at statistical producers. It covers:

  • how the Code of Practice for Statistics works in practice
  • the UK statistical system
  • the difference between official, National and experimental statistics, and management information
  • case studies to show how the code has been applied in the past

Learning outcomes:

After attending this course, participants will have gained knowledge of:

  • the UK statistical system
  • the framework for the Code of Practice for Statistics
  • the pillars of Trustworthiness, Quality and Value and relevant principles and practices

  • Writing about statistics, Wednesday 22 January, 1.00pm to 3.00pm

You can attend all courses, or just the one that suits you.

There are limited places for these courses and they will be allocated fairly across government departments.
