Join us to learn more about the new noise modelling system created by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The team recently won the Analysis in Government Award for Innovation for their work to develop the system.

This presentation will:

  • take you through the process for scoping, designing, piloting and building the final innovative system
  • cover the uses for the system and how it fits with wider government policy
  • highlight the challenges the team faced during development and explain how they overcame them
  • identify the wide range of analysts and other professions that helped to produce the final model
  • set out how the team hope to develop the model in future in terms of data-sharing and policy assessments
