This event is part of Analysis in Government Month 2024.
This session outlines work being done by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and Homes England to improve the quality of housing and regeneration appraisal. It will cover:
- work done to update DLUHC’s Appraisal Guidance and plans for further updates
- how DLUHC and Homes England are building placemaking and environmental impacts into their appraisals
- work being done to better understand the effects of housing quality
- the plan to build social impacts – including health and wellbeing – into appraisals
- work with other departments to understand cross cutting interventions, and place-based and levelling up impacts
