The Department for Business and Trade will be hosting its first Evidence and Analysis conference at Westminster Church House from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday 9 November. The free, in-person event is open to all staff, across all professions.

The day will focus on the theme of ‘Going for Growth: Local to International Perspectives’. World-class speakers discuss a wide range of topics such as global economic trends, the return of industrial strategy, net zero, and promoting local and national resiliency.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Professor Dame Diane Coyle, Bennett Professor of Public Policy at the University of Cambridge and author of several books on economics. Presenting a keynote on the ‘National perspective on building economic resilience’
  • Professor Henry Overman, Professor of Economic Geography at the London School of Economics presents a ‘Local perspective on promoting economic growth’

During the day, there will be opportunities to socialise and connect including at the free networking lunch, and a cash-bar drinks event after the event closes.
