This course is made up of 2 modules. Each module will take 3 hours to complete.

The course is for producers of index numbers or people who want to understand how they are produced. It covers:

  • some examples of the most common types of indices
  • how they are used in the Office for National Statistics (ONS)
  • how to produce official statistics

This is an advanced course. You should be comfortable with algebra as taught at A-level Mathematics to enrol on this course.
