Senior policy liaison officer

The senior policy liaison is a high-profile position within the Office for National Statistics (ONS), connecting the analytical system directly to the needs of Cabinet and other senior decision makers, understanding the wants of policy makers, and directing analytical resources within ONS to maximise relevance and impact.

For the job holder they will receive – unparalleled access to policy makers; exposure to the senior decision makers in government and in ONS; experience in delivering at pace and through other, often more senior, colleagues. The role is a part of ONS but through a Memorandum of Understanding with Cabinet Office, the post holder will receive appropriate support, tech and management from within central teams too.
