Privacy guidance for using Basecamps

The Analysis Function Central Team runs two Basecamps:

• Accessibility for Statistics and Analysis
• Presentation and Dissemination of Statistics and Analysis

Please consider any content you post on these Basecamps to be in the public domain. Be aware that anyone can sign up to access these Basecamps and messages can be made public.

Do not post official or official sensitive content.

Do not post your own personal information unless you are happy for it to be in the public domain.

Do not post anyone else’s personal information without their prior agreement.

Do not post pre-release statistics or analysis.

You can also upload documents onto the Basecamps. These can include meeting minutes and guidance documents (as long as they do not break the rules already mentioned).

Names can be published in meeting minutes alongside the department the person works for as long as these people are happy for their name and department to be in the public domain.

Members of champion networks should be aware of this already as their name and department is published on their champion network page. Champions should also be aware of the privacy notice for champions.

Do not create your own team board without speaking to the owner of the Government Digital Service Basecamp account (currently Chris Watson).

If you leave your post and no longer work in government, please email Analysis.Function@ons.gov.uk and we will remove you from the relevant Basecamps.
