Updates to the Analysis Function Inclusion Resources

The Analysis Function (AF) Inclusion Resources are a valuable tool to help us create an inclusive culture for analysts across government. The resources contain lots of information that will:

  • help you increase your understanding and awareness of diverse perspectives
  • support analysts to recognise and encourage contributions from all team members

The resources include links to videos, blogs, Civil Service Learning courses, and other useful information and tools.

The resources are comprehensive, but they also contain tips on what to look at if you only have a spare 15 minutes. A recent refresh means the resources have now been brought up to date and contain a section on inclusive data analysis.

If you would like a copy of the resources, please email Holly.Kool@ons.gov.uk.

Updated resource to support listening circles

Listening circles are structured conversations which allow you to hear the lived experiences of colleagues. They are a valuable way of creating a more inclusive culture in your team or organisation.

Listening circles enable an evidence-based conversation on a particular topic, and can be useful in bringing the lived experiences of under-represented civil servants to the attention of senior leaders.

The AF’s resource to support listening circles has been updated to include the most recent advice on best practice. We have worked with colleagues in diversity networks at the Cabinet Office and the Department for Education to produce the resource. If you would like a copy of this resource, please email Holly.Kool@ons.gov.uk.
