GSS theme workplans

One of the key pillars of the GSS Vision: Strength in Numbers, is Coordination, Cooperation and Leadership; with an objective to improve cross-GSS topic prioritisation and collaboration. As a statistical community delivering analytical work, we are strongest when we work together, recognising and respecting the individual expertise and remit of departments and agencies, but working collectively and collaboratively across boundaries to maximise the impact and delivery of statistics and insights.

GSS work plans have been developed where themes cut across departmental/agency boundaries. Summaries of these work plans are published here setting out key publications and developments for the year ahead:

This subject matter or theme-based coordination compliments the GSS work that is focused on the cross-cutting topics of user engagement, granular statistics, administrative data and UK coherence as priorities identified through the Statistics Assembly. All these initiatives (theme based or cross-cutting topic based) ensure we are collaborating as much as possible across the GSS to produce a high-quality evidence base of statistics and insights to meet user needs.
