Languages-related research intersects with numerous fields of direct application to government policy in a multilingual UK with global aspirations. But it is under-used and often misunderstood.
Join the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) to find out more about the cross-government Languages Group and their aims to promote the development of intelligent relationships between departments and the academic languages research community. Their work aims to support effective decision-making that affects areas such as:
- culture, linguistics, and communication
- technology
- behavioural and social sciences
- health and wellbeing
- social cohesion
- education
