GSS Conference: Call for Abstracts

This year’s Government Statistical Services (GSS) Conference will be held on October 8, 2024. This year’s theme is:

“Beyond Numbers: Championing Interdisciplinary Collaboration with Statistics”.

The conference will be a hybrid event, with the in-person aspect taking place across three Government sites in Newport, York and Edinburgh.

Call for Abstracts

The organising committee is delighted to open the call for abstracts. All submissions are welcome, regardless of your profession, and abstracts relating to statistical or causal methodologies (as well as cross-departmental and cross-profession research) are particularly encouraged.

  • all applications will be evaluated based on an up to 250-word abstract
  • the deadline for submissions is Friday 19 July at 23:59 (GMT)
  • to submit an abstract please use this online form
  • presenters will be required to attend the conference in person

Depending on the number of applicants, the organising committee aims to make their final selection by the end of July. Abstracts will be considered for talks and/or posters, and you may be offered either if your abstract is selected.
