This schedule shows the regular release dates on international migration across the Government Statistical Service (GSS). Some release dates and content can change from year to year.
Immigration statistics
This release is published by the Home Office. It gives statistics about people:
- coming to the UK
- extending their stay in the UK
- gaining UK citizenship
- applying for asylum
- being detained or removed
- immigrating for work, study, and family reasons

Statistics relating to passenger arrivals since the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak
This release is published by the Home Office. It is a statistical report showing the effect of COVID-19 on arrivals to the UK.

International Migration, Scotland

Mid-year population estimates
This release is published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA). It gives national and subnational mid-year population estimates for the UK and its constituent countries by administrative area, age, and sex.

For the calendar year 2022, mid-year population estimates (MYEs) will be released in Autumn. This is later than usual because outputs from the England and Wales Census 2021 and the Northern Ireland Census 2021 will be released in 2022. The MYEs will also be rebased with Census data, excluding data for Scotland.

Long Term International Migration for Northern Ireland
This release is published by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA). NISRA collects further information from administrative data sources to help with the measurement and quality assurance of international migration estimates in Northern Ireland.

The August release date for NISRA long term international migration statistics report is under review until the release of Census 2021 results and 2021 mid-year population estimates.
