GSS Conference registration
The Government Statistical Service (GSS) Conference – Ahead of the curve: preparing for the future of statistics, is set to land in Manchester and online on 4 November 2025.
The theme of this year’s conference is Innovation and Transformation, with speakers from across departments and topics reflecting our shared commitment to evolving how we use data for the public good.
Attending the conference
The first round of in-person tickets have now been allocated by the departmental Heads of Profession. If you have been allocated a ticket, please complete your attendee registration form by 5pm on Wednesday 15 October.
The second round of ticket allocations will be distributed to those on the waitlist in the beginning of the week commencing 13 October. If you are selected to attend, you will need to complete your attendee registration form by 5pm on Friday 17 October.
All attendees will receive a frequently asked question document and a parallel session selection form shortly. Other information including the agenda, speakers, committee and handbook will be released on our Conference Hub webpages in the lead-up to the conference.

We welcome all members of the GSS who are not attending in person to register for online attendance. Please complete the online registration form by 5pm on Thursday 30 October.

Applications to present at the conference
Thank you to all who submitted an abstract to present at this year’s conference. We received over 50 abstracts this year of impressive calibre, demonstrating the breadth and quality of work taking place across the GSS. This year’s speakers have now been selected, and will shortly be announced on our GSS Conference speakers webpage. The agenda is available now.
