The theme of this year’s conference is: Innovation and Transformation. The title, exact date, and venue will be announced in the coming weeks.
Apply to present at the conference
We are excited to invite you to submit your abstract to present at the conference in November. We encourage contributions from a wide range of disciplines and perspectives that align with the theme of Innovation and Transformation.
Being part of this event provides an excellent platform for sharing knowledge, fostering networking and collaboration, and showcasing your work within statistics. All sessions will take place in person, and be streamed online. Submit your abstract through our Microsoft form by 5pm on Friday 12 September.
Session types
Parallel sessions: 35-minute slot. 20-25 minutes are for your presentation, with 10-15 minutes for questions and discussion. Your session will be selected by attendees from a choice of 5 simultaneous sessions (parallel sessions).
Keynote sessions: these will take place in the main room, to all attendees, for 35 minutes. Your presentation should be no longer than 20 minutes, to allow 15 minutes for questions and discussions.
Submitting your abstract
To submit your application to present, you’ll need the following information:
- a concise summary of your proposed presentation (maximum 250 words)
- a provisional title for your presentation
- an overview of how your session relates to the conference theme (one or two sentences)
- contact details (so that we can inform you of the outcome of your application)
Responses will be reviewed by the organising committee, and successful applicants will be notified by 5pm on Monday 22 September.
We look forward to receiving your abstracts and learning more about your work. Should you have any questions or require further information, please email GSSNet@statistics.gov.uk.
