Government Data Science Festival Week 2020

The Government Data Science Festival is a fully digital event, which aims to bring together the data science community in the UK public sector.

The festival is delivered by the Government Data Science Partnership (GDSP) working together with members of the data science community across government and public sector in the UK.

The theme of this year’s festival is “Enabling the new normal: The role of data science in moving towards a post-COVID world”.

Colleagues across the public sector have worked together in recent months using data science techniques to support the UK government response to coronavirus (COVID-19). The festival will showcase some of this work.

There will be sessions throughout the week, with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is password protected.

If you have not previously registered and would still like to attend:

• visit the #conference channel on the cross-government data science Slack
• or email Government.Data.Science.Conference@ons.gov.uk using your public sector email address

We will send you the details including the password for the registration pages.

Register for your session

Use the password to access the registration page for your chosen strand.

Register for each session using your public sector email address. This should be the same address you will use to sign into the digital conferencing platform. If you need to use a personal email address to access the platform, please also include this email in your registration.

You will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite. This includes the ticket, and “add to your calendar” feature, plus the link to the online events page.

Access the events page and video conferencing links

2. click the account icon in the top right corner
3. click the tickets option to open up your sessions

Each of your sessions has a link to the event page. Each event page contains the video conferencing links and supplementary materials for the sessions you are attending.
