Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) seminar: Joining up data

Date
12th October 2022 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm
Venue
Online

The Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) has launched a series of seminars for analysts, which share insights from our regulatory work, promoting our Code of Practice and important areas of focus that support all types of analysis across government.

Our fourth seminar will take place on Monday 12 October at 12:15pm. The seminar is about ‘joining up data’.

OSR sees the immense value of data sharing and linkage, when done in a secure way, for decision makers and the wider public. The pandemic provided a strong case for sharing data for the public good. There has been excellent progress in creating linked datasets and making them available for research, analysis, and statistics. But there are still significant areas of challenge. This seminar will highlight ongoing work, celebrate progress, and consider remaining barriers.

We have another great line-up for the seminar, with speakers from:

  • OSR
  • the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted)
  • the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual)
  • Administrative Data Research (ADR) UK
