The Government Office for Science presents Professor Adam Joinson who talks about how behavioural and social science has contributed to work on both national and cyber-security.

From his research that sought to predict violent extremism action, to his work as Director of the Economic and Social Research Council Digital Security by Design Social Science Hub+, he will discuss the ways in which social scientists can work across disciplinary boundaries and the ways in which social scientific methods and theories can challenge and enhance our understanding of technologies.

Lessons for future engagement of social science with strategic technologies will be drawn. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
