Join colleagues from the Department of Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to find out more about the ‘Unlocking Resource Efficiency‘ project.

This innovative project was commissioned by DESNZ and Defra to explore the potential for carbon savings from resource efficiency.

The research innovatively brought together industrial experts to develop new ways of working with stakeholders across and outside of government. It covered 11 industrial sectors and included over 130 stakeholder organisations from:

  • government
  • manufacturing
  • trade associations
  • academia

Stakeholder engagement was critical to knowledge creation and allowed for challenging evidence gaps to be filled, directly leading to the successful completion of this crucial research.

This presentation will discuss the findings from the research, as well as how this innovative engagement was managed.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session you will have:
