Climate change is already changing the way British society and the rest of the world works, but what is often forgotten in the technocratic conversations about cutting emissions, adaptation and affordability is the need for a broader story about:

  • what climate change is
  • how the way we live move and work is defined by both the energy we use and the natural environment

In this session, Dominic Hinde will present his new book ‘Drifting North; Finding the Climate Future in the Scottish Landscape’ and talk about the challenges of stitching together the complex story of climate change and energy for the public. The session will be of particular interest to colleagues working on sustainability issues, colleagues based in Scotland and — more broadly — anyone interested in insights into local communities.
