Accelerating Technology in a Government Department

The transformation of government is inevitable. The Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO) is running Live Spotlight Webinars to support the:

• Modern Civil Service vision
• Transforming for a digital future: 2022 to 2025 roadmap for digital and data

The webinars are designed for Senior Civil Servants, but are also open to everyone to attend. These webinars have been created to encourage an awareness of Digital, Data, Technology and Innovation that is needed to produce effective work beyond 2025.

The event

Join us to hear about Dr. Shruti Kohli’s experience creating an Innovation Lab at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The Innovation Lab is designed to act as a technology accelerator that will help solve complex business problems, and bring new and challenging ideas.

Dr Kohli will also discuss:

• making better use of emerging technology
• embedding more design thinking to create user-centric outcomes
• enabling a culture of innovation

The session will include time for a question and answer session. This will help you see how DWP’s approach can be used in your own department.
