About the role
You will be working in partnership with the Government Skills and Curriculum Unit. Developing analytical capability across government is a top priority for the Analysis Function.
Acting as Lead Analyst, this role will support the Programme Lead to deliver on a critical aspect of the ‘develop capability’ work programme – to conduct a Civil Service wide audit of analytical capability, with a particular focus on Policy Officials.
The role presents a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile piece of work in collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders across government. Leading on the analytical element of this project, you will work in partnership with subject matter experts across both the Government Analysis Function and Policy Profession to support delivery of this project, helping to set the scope of the audit, the approach, research methods and analysis.
The high-profile nature of this activity will allow the role holder to engage with a large network of stakeholders, leading on the research and analysis to produce a robust set of outcomes and recommendations.
This role is based within the Office for National Statistics, working alongside the Analysis Function central team.
