Extended deadline for abstracts for the Government Statistical Service (GSS) Conference 2022

The GSS Conference 2022 will take place on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 December at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. You can find more information about the conference on our event page.

The parallel sessions team are now looking for abstracts for both parallel session and poster presentations. The deadline for abstracts has now been extended until Friday 21 October 2022.

If you would like to present at the conference and you are a statistician or data scientist in a government department, or in another public or private sector organisation, you can submit an abstract.

The parallels session presentations are an excellent opportunity to share the work that you are contributing to the changing statistics of our changing world. Do your statistics help people live their lives in our changing world? Have you changed your processes to produce more relevant and up-to-date statistics? Have you seen your statistics have a wider effect either nationally or internationally? The conference team would love to hear from you.

We are happy to accept abstracts for work that is not yet finished, but is due to be finished before the conference. Please note that submission or acceptance of a poster presentation does not guarantee a place at the conference.

How to submit an abstract

If you are interested in presenting your work at the conference, please use the abstract submission template to create an abstract for your parallel session or poster presentation (ODT, 18.9KB).

Please send your completed abstract to GSSConference2022@gmail.com by the new deadline of Friday 21 October 2022.
