The Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) runs seminars for analysts, which:
- share insights from their regulatory work
- promote their Code of Practice and main areas of focus that support all types of analysis across government
Their next seminar is about statistical literacy and communicating statistics. The online seminar will take place on Tuesday 20 June at 12:05pm.
The seminar will:
- share findings from OSR’s recent research on statistical literacy
- explain how these findings about statistical literacy have influenced OSR’s views on how statistics should be communicated
- explore what analysts can do to help the wider public audience understand, engage with, and trust their statistics and analysis
Guests include David Freeman from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and Anna Lawlor, journalist and creator of the BBC programme Typical!.
Who this seminar is for
These seminars are primarily for analysts, but officials from any other profession can attend if they are interested.
