Leaders in analysis: diverse analytical careers

The session will feature talks from colleagues with rare and unusual job titles. Our speakers will explain more about their roles, who is suited to these kinds of roles and how people can get into them.
The event will be chaired by Rob Green, Lead Analyst for People, Capability and Change at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities. Rob is a Champion for the Build AF Diversity and Inclusion Working Group.
Speakers are:
- Ilona Quahe, Head of Behavioural Science at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office — Ilona started her career in government analysis after working as a lawyer and returning to academia to re-specialise
- Patrick Rickles is Head of Digital Skills and Innovation at the North Sea Transition Authority — Patrick is a member of the Government Geography Profession, and his current role concentrates on teaching people how to effectively use digital tools and research new technologies that can automate and improve ways of working
- Jo Lee is Head of Data Analysis at Secretary of State’s Private Office for the Department of Health and Social Care — Jo has previously worked as a data scientist in several departments across the civil service, including most recently at 10 Downing Street
