This course introduces basic commands and operations performed in the command line interface on computers. The course will show you how to use simple operations to help you benefit from the power of your computer. The course is taught for both Windows and Uniplexed Information and Computing System (UNIX) based operating systems.

Learning outcomes

On this course you will learn to use the command line interface on your computer more confidently. This will help you complete tasks including:

  • navigating file systems or directories
  • manipulating folders and their contents
  • interacting with other programs through the command line
